How Adult Coaching Works

Step One: The Initial Consultation

We will have a free informational session, in person or by FaceTime or Skype. You can learn about the coaching process and I can learn a bit about you and your goals. After this session, we can decide whether to work together.

Step Two: The Discovery Session

We will schedule a 90-minute Discovery Session (which can be broken up into two appointments). Again, we can meet in person or by Skype or FaceTime.

I’ll send you paperwork to get you thinking about what you hope to accomplish in coaching.

We will discuss your current situation, as well as your hopes and dreams.

We will develop a few goals, as as well as action steps to reach them.

You will leave our first session ready to begin work on your goals!

Step Three: Weekly Coaching

We will meet weekly for about 45-minutes, either in person or by Skype or FaceTime.

Each week, we’ll set a Coaching Agreement so that you leave the session with a concrete plan.

We’ll explore your strengths and how to leverage them.

We’ll look at what’s working and what’s not.

We’ll adjust strategies to keep you moving towards your goals.

We’ll discuss thoughts and patterns that are limiting you.

We’ll set up accountability measures for the week: emails, texts, or brief phone calls to keep you on track.

We’ll give you coaching “homework”–strategies to try during the week.
